09JulThermoplastic polyolefin, better known as TPO, has become the most-installed commercial roofing membrane in the country, and for good reason in a hot climate like ours.
Benefits of TPO
- Reflective: white TPO reflects most of the sun's energy, lowering cooling costs.
- Heat-welded seams: seams are fused with hot air, making them stronger than the membrane itself.
- Cost-effective: lower installed cost than PVC with comparable performance for most buildings.
When to consider a coating instead
If your existing roof is structurally sound and mostly dry, a silicone restoration coating may extend its life for 10–15 years at a fraction of the cost of replacement. We take core samples to find out.
